Since words really can't do this place justice, I'm going to stop typing now and let you see for yourself just how gorgeous this place is!
While on my birthday getaway, Cliff and I treated ourselves to a couples massage. On a whim, we asked our massage therapist about fun things to do and see in the area, and she told us about some gardens in Pennsylvania. We thought they sounded nice and decided to give them a try... Little did we know that we would soon find ourselves in the country's premier botanical gardens! Words can't even begin to describe the beauty and majesty of Longwood Gardens. They are simply stunning. I haven't been able to stop talking or thinking about what we saw there, and cannot wait to back! Since words really can't do this place justice, I'm going to stop typing now and let you see for yourself just how gorgeous this place is! One of our favorite areas in the indoor exhibit was this, a room made up of living walls. I completely fell in love and am obsessed with the idea of vertical gardening! I had a smile on my face the entire time we were here! As a photographer, one of the most stunning aspects of Longwood Gardens are the colors and textures that surround you. Everything there is so rich and vibrant. I love it! This is where Cliff and I really got to nerd out. In addition to the beautiful indoor exhibit, we were able to visit a meadow garden, aka tallgrass prairie. Tallgrass prairie is the native landscape/ecosystem of Nebraska, so being able to see one on the East Coast was a great reminder of home! Those who know me well know that I haven't been able to stop talking about Longwood Gardens since our visit. Cliff and I were both inspired to venture into the world of gardening, so we bought a few indoor plants to spruce up our place. I've got to give special thanks to coworkers Ashling and Leslie who so thoughtfully supported our new hobbies with gifts of orchid and narcissus. We love them!

You're totally inspiring me to get some new plants for our house! That snake plant looks pretty hardy... easy to take care of?
