I hope everyone got out and enjoyed the amazing weather we had this weekend! 80 in October??? I'll take it!

The weather proved perfect for this Rock Creek Park engagement session with Alison and Drew! I just love these two! We first met a few years ago when they hired me to take couples photos. Alison and Drew had just moved in together and wanted some art of themselves for their new apartment. What I remember most about that first session was how beautiful the light was. The sun was out and everything was soft and golden!

A lot has changed in the time that we've known each other... my friendship with Alison has blossomed and Alison and Drew are now engaged! I'm convinced they have the sun on speed dial because once again, beautiful, golden light blanketed their photo session! I can't get enough of this natural back lighting!

Guys, it's been one amazing weekend! Are you ready for this?

1. On Thursday my husband surprised me with Ghostbusters on Blu Ray!

5. I know by now it sounds like all I do is sit around and watch TV, but I promise that's not true. I spent all morning Saturday tiding up our bedroom because WE'RE ALMOST DONE MAKING IT OUR OWN! Backstory: We bought a condo 2 years ago and are slowly but surely redecorating each room. Earlier this year my husband built the most beautiful floor-to-ceiling wood headboard for our bedroom, but there is still a few things we need to do before the room is completed. We're so close to that final, finishing touch! ​6. Yesterday I worked on a presentation because TODAY I'm speaking to a group of students at Prince George's Community College about how I use my journalism degree in the real world. 

7. I also spent time preparing for a BIG announcement that's coming soon! I'm really excited so, stay tuned! (Nope. No babies. Tacos... possibly. But no babies.) ​
