For the record, I love it when kiddos get involved with family photos. These are, after all, their photos, too, and taking suggestions from kids can sometimes have fabulously unexpected results!

That's exactly what happened when the Niki siblings helped me scout out a great place for family portraits one Saturday in November.
We spent an afternoon at Wheaton Regional Park where we explored a few different walking trails before eventually making our way to Brookside Gardens. There, the Niki siblings really turned on their charm--and how could they not? If you've ever been to Brookside Gardens, then you know what a magical, whimsical place it is.
Mom, Dad, and the kiddos seemed to have a ton of fun exploring new nooks and crannies--including an awesome rock formation that made a perfect backdrop for family and sibling portraits! Just look at those colors--and those smiles!
I'm so excited to be able to share these photos the week of Thanksgiving. Working with this family was an absolute joy, and seeing they love they all had for each other is a great reminder that the simple things are the things we should be most thankful for.
