At the heart of Jonna Michelle Photography lies one of the purest forms of human emotion: joy. Simply put, creating beautiful images for my clients makes my heart happy.

I love using my camera to connect with people and tell their stories, and over the last 10 years I’ve done just that. I’ve had the honor and privilege of documenting families, elected leaders, artists, musicians, festivals, business owners, babies, and more.

The thing that sets me apart from other photographers isn’t the fact that I rely on my skillset as a photojournalist to make images or that I use only natural light in my work (though that is a unique feature of my style!) It’s the fact that I use my camera to connect with my clients on a human level.

This heart-driven approach to photography was on full display during the COVID-19 pandemic when I turned my camera into a public service through the project Life in the Time of Coronavirus: Voices from Silver Spring.

Now, with the pandemic behind us I’m getting back to what I love--visual storytelling--and offering a suite of new services to business owners, artists, and creative entrepreneurs so I can better serve my community. I hope to connect with you soon!
