For those who don't already know, I live in Silver Spring, Maryland. Some call it up-and-coming; some say that whole unincorporated thing is weird. To me, it's just home.
For me, what makes this place so special is the amazing community of people who help make Silver Spring what it is: a hidden gem of all things unique. This is a place where rural meets urban and urban meets suburban. Business ventures collide with recreational opportunities, bringing together the best cultures from every walk of life.
One of the places to experience Silver Spring at it's finest is at the Fenton Street Market. Usually open outdoors April through October, FSM decided to do things a little different this year to celebrate the holidays... er #Holidaze. Now through the end of the year, the market is holding an indoor pop-up at the Pyramid Atlantic Art Center here in Silver Spring.
Cliff and I were invited to the pop-up's grand opening party, and we had a blast! Just like Silver Spring, we found ourselves surrounded by artists, families, good food, and fun.
Here's a taste of what you might see if you stop by--and I strongly suggest you do. The #Holidaze pop-up is the perfect place to support local artists and find a unique gift for that someone special in your life.
