In following their passion, Dan is transitioning their skillsets from urban planner to affordable housing advocate.
As an affordable housing advocate, Dan--who already was extremely active in the local community--is accepting invitations to more and more public speaking and networking events.
Those spaces are often occupied by people who don't look like Dan - people who more comfortably fit the corporate mold. Think wealthy, straight, male developers, high-end realtors, and chain-based business owners.
Dan is different. Dan knows they are different. And most importantly, Dan embraces who they are.
As the biracial, queer son of immigrants and proud pibble parent (Hi Drizzy!), Dan wanted and needed professional brand images that reflect who they are while showcasing their depth of brilliance.
That's why Dan reached out to me.
My anti-corporate style perfectly aligned with Dan's vision for headshots and brand images that would further propel their career.

By peppering our photo session with conversations about different neighborhoods in the DMV, the urban design of those neighborhoods, and how/why things look and feel the way they are today, I was able to help Dan feel more calm and confident in front of the camera by brining them to their happy place.
Watching Dan let their inner brilliance shine by tapping into their depth of brilliance during our time together was truly transformative.
