A Big Announcement is Coming Soon!

Guys, it's been one amazing weekend! Are you ready for this?

1. On Thursday my husband surprised me with Ghostbusters on Blu Ray!

2. The AFI Silver Theater and Cultural Center here in Silver Spring is having a Noir fest and I got to see one of my all-time favorites on the big screen: The Rear Window. I can't tell you how much I love this movie. The first time I saw it was in a high school English class, and no matter how many times I watch it, it always leaves me on the edge of my seat. I've never before seen it in the theater. Watching it at AFI was by far the best viewing experience I've had! If you haven't been to AFI yet, be sure to check it out. It's a real gem and Silver Spring is so lucky to have it!

​3. THE HUSKERS WON! In case anyone reading this doesn't know yet, I'm from Nebraska. During the fall I bleed scarlet and cream. 

5. I know by now it sounds like all I do is sit around and watch TV, but I promise that's not true. I spent all morning Saturday tiding up our bedroom because WE'RE ALMOST DONE MAKING IT OUR OWN! Backstory: We bought a condo 2 years ago and are slowly but surely redecorating each room. Earlier this year my husband built the most beautiful floor-to-ceiling wood headboard for our bedroom, but there is still a few things we need to do before the room is completed. We're so close to that final, finishing touch! ​6. Yesterday I worked on a presentation because TODAY I'm speaking to a group of students at Prince George's Community College about how I use my journalism degree in the real world. 

7. I also spent time preparing for a BIG announcement that's coming soon! I'm really excited so, stay tuned! (Nope. No babies. Tacos... possibly. But no babies.) ​
