Just a quick update: Dad is still at the in-patient physical therapy clinic, and -- as expected -- he's doing wonderfully! He got moved from an overflow room to a regular room. Man, talk about plush! His new room has two recliners, a queen-size bed and a kitchenette!
But wait! There's more! Last week he was invited to go with other patients to an outdoor mall in Lincoln where he did on-site occupational therapy. Medical staff encouraged him to walk up and down skinny isles in a sporting goods store, reach for items on top shelves, use a public elevator and order food from a counter. He passed all tests with flying colors and is expected to "graduate" from in-patient therapy soon.
I'm so proud of his positive attitude and all the work he's accomplished! As soon as he makes it home, I'll let y'all know. Thanks so much again for the kind thoughts, words and prayers. Words cannot express how much your support means to our family.

p.s. This is one of my favorite photos of me and Dad. I can't wait until he's able to travel again! I promised him a round of golf -- but only if I get to drive the cart ;)
